Hi, everyone. We are new to the whole caravanning thing but we have done camping & had a camper van in the past.
We are very excited to get out for our first outing but we need to get a bit of kit first.
The only planned outing is for my wife, Lana, to spend the week with her friend Lisa at Glastonbury.

Mark & Lana.

Hi both and welcome to Eribafolk. If you are used to camping then Eriba'ing is just as easy and we are sure that you'll love it. Most of us have come from a camping background.

Which model Eriba do you have?

Welcome Mark and Lana, I'm sure you'll enjoy your Eriba.
You say you have camped and camper vanned so I'm guessing you have lots of bits and a good idea of what you need. I would say a sun canopy/shade should be at the top of your list for that bit of protection from the elements, and better than jumping into the purchase of an expensive awning. Have a look at the Fiamma Caravanstore and Isabella Shadow. For a Familia or Puck L it would be a 2.25m Fiamma, For the Familia the 2.5m version of either, a Triton needs 2.8m Fiamma or 3.0m Isabella and the Troll a 3.1m Fiamma or 3.0 Isabella. Used usually available on e-bay but generally cheaper on Gumtree.

Welcome to you both, we are relatively new to Eriba life as it were. We have had our first weekend practise run and are currently addressing a few things before we take off for a whole month. We have camped and caravaned before but this is our first Eriba, we love it.

Welcome (even though I have now gone back in the opposite direction and bought another campervan).

Are you not able to just take off even for a single night together and test things out before the Glastonbury trip??
We can all give advice but finding out what works for you personally in the new van is the only way IMO 😊
