Difficult to say without a hands on look but if the leak is coming from the main body and it’s plastic, these taps frequently fail.
I changed 2 in 18 months on my VW camper, attempts to fix with silicone seal failed miserably!

Your original tap is the Reich Twist 90, and therefore the worktop mounting hole will be 39mm - 40mm to suit.
The Reich Deluxe tap you're thinking of fitting requires a 21mm mounting hole.

Now you've got the tap out it may be worth checking to see if a worn 'O' ring on the blue hose connector is causing the leak.

The hose connector is held in the base of the tap by a pin - early models used a steel taper pin, later ones are black plastic..

Remove the pin and you'll be able to pull the hose connector off.

'O' rings are usually sold in kits of various sizes, but if you have a local hardware shop - similar to the one in the Two Ronnies sketch - they may be able to supply what you need.

Just ask the fella wearing the brown warehouse coat if he has any 'O's

Hi Chris,

Glad you managed to repair it. I've just replaced the tap in my shower/toilet cubicle - it was leaking and I discovered a fracture in the main body. It was a nightmare to get off, I had to literally smash the tap top down to get into the recess and release the holding nut, so no chance of a repair. The replacement Reich tap cost me £118! (ebay).
