Getting close to becoming Eriba owners

Hi, loving the community there is here among Eriba owners, makes taking the plunge a little less scary. My husband and I are about to buy a Troll 530 with a fixed bed (he is a stroke survivor and so having a permanently made-up, comfortable bed for sleeping on is a real bonus) and I'm searching this site for all the wisdom here!
We are considering the bunk bed system for our daughter (11, pretty teeny) for the next few years, our son will sleep underneath. But actually when we looked around a Troll it seemed like they could top and tail on the small bed pretty well. Any advice (or second-hand bunk beds?) welcome!
We both need to go on a course to learn how to tow, we are in Hampshire, would anyone recommend a particular course?
Thanks!

Welcome. You should find your fixed bed nice and comfy. We have the sprung mattress add a topper to ours for a better than home sleep.
The bunk bed set-up would not really work as the weight limit is very low. When ours boys camped with us they did not want to stay in the van and had pup tents from the age of about 10yrs old. This gave them there own space which they loved and meant they could have the sleep in that children of that age seem to thrive on. It also means you could have your front area as a designated dining space all of the time.

when we were little, our parents slept in the van and my sister and I slept in a tent. We loved it. It felt like such an adventure. We could always go into the caravan if we were worried about anything, but i don't remember ever being afraid. Furthermore, my parents snored horribly so we used to beg for it to be as far away as possible lol.

Thank you everyone, it was the salesman who suggested the bunk bed having seen our daughter, we hadn't considered it until that point. We were going to top and tail them on the back bed if for any reason they didn't want to sleep in their tent outside. I think they key is that the dog would be inside with us and they just want to be where our pup is!!

Being the cruel mother and granny that I am, I'd put the pup and the children outside lol

I'm getting a bit concerned about the similarities between us, after reading your signature and some of your comments.
I used to have a Renault Megane, Your van is named after my wife Elisabeth, the car is named after me Colin, we own a 430, I used to teach and we even think the same.
