My wife and I bought a 2007 HYMER triton 420 two years ago now and a van der horn awning , after 25 years of camping in tents of varying size and build. Needed a bit more comfort and wow this offers it all under a small easy tow roof. Suffering with back troubles getting up out of a bed is luxury now, no nipping across the damp grassy campsite in the middle of the night for the loo. Signing in to this forum has been most helpful full of nice folk, with some great advice and tips which has been much appreciated. We have been out in our unit when ever we can, mainly up here in Scotland and Northern England but planning to tour to southern Germany next years, we have been there in a tent.
Most Eriba 420 models like our 2007 I have seen have Eriba written on the roof area, BUT ours has Hymer written, the only mention of Eriba is the inscription " Eriba" on the inside of the door.
Q "does anyone know the reason for this"
So thanks for the warm welcome MalcolmR

Malcolm,
the Hymer sticker could be a couple of things. Your van may have originally been sold on mainland Europe and then imported either privately or by a dealer. It could also be the original became weathered or damaged and have been replaced.
Interesting that you mention Germany. Instead of our usual France we are looking at Germany and then up to Holland/Netherlands next June? as we have never caravaned in either
