Is your question to do with your age Brian? Are you 70 yet? In the UK you only have to declare you're still fit (I think) so don't need to have a medical.

I would guess that if you passed your test in the UK before 1997 then you don't need a special licence or test to tow a small trailer or caravan.

France to Devon, that's a fair distance to move, I thought it would be the wrong way to follow the sun. We'll be near Buckfast in Devon for a few days next week where our son has been surprised by the comparatively low temperatures. He is on the slopes of a valley though so seems to avoid some of the weather extremes.
