Welcome.
I cannot see a problem regarding weight as your Mini will probably weighs about 1300/1400kg, twice that of the caravan. Power should not be an issue either.
What you need to check is the manufacturers maximum that will be in your owners manual. You can also check the weights plate on the car. This is commonly on the B pillar drivers side and is the legally governing factor

Hi and welcome to Eribafolk
I've seen plenty of photos of Minis towing Pucks, Here's one:-g47p1592-Marvin-the-Mini-towing-Dolly-the-Puck.html#com
I'm no Mini expert but I have read somewhere that some BMW Minis cannot be fitted with a tow bar because of their centre twin exhaust system.
That aside, here's a good towcar/caravan matching site :- https://towcar.info/GB/

Thanks. The mini doesn't have a centre twin exhaust so should be ok. Taking all advice here and towing sites and it looks fine. We are novices at towing so all advice welcome. I have seen photos of Minis and Pucks and thought it should be fine. So tow bar to get fitted and we should be on our way and can't wait!

My 2013 Cooper has no figures in the towing weight boxes on the B pillar data plate which I have been told means it was not homologated by BMW and would be illegal to tow with. You can still buy tow bars but they are only legal for bike racks.
It’s an R56 model by the way.

Thanks for all your helpful replies. Having done further investigation we have found out, as you rightly say JefL it isn't suitable to tow. So we are on the lookout for a more suitable vehicle, probably a VW Golf. Hopefully this won't delay the start of our travels for too long!
