The difference between the letter series and the number series is just because of the van's age. As a simple rule of thumb, pre 1999 vans were called by the letter series and post 1999 vans have the number series.

However, there is no such thing as a Triton LM as far as I can see looking at old brochures. There is a Troll LM but also there's a Triton M which for all intents and purposes is a Triton 420 with a front kitchen.

The only thing that may differ is the washroom layout because dependant on the age, the Triton M may only have a sink in a closet and not a w/c. Just before the change over to numbers however, there was a Triton TM which does have a toilet.
