Pre-Departure Checklist v.4

I've been meaning to update the checklist for some time to make the sequence of checks more logical. I have amended the wording slightly and made a few other minor changes. Newcomers to caravanning should find it useful as an aide-memoire.

Some of the checks, for example 'morning tablets', 'fridge fans', 'heater fan' etc may not apply to you and there may be others relevant to your outfit that don't apply to mine so please feel free to download and make any changes to your copy that you feel are necessary.

I keep a copy in a clear file pocket in the caravan door and usually remember to check each item before we set off.

Here's the file to download:

Biggest problem I find is being interrupted when I am checking something. Usually ends up with something being missed (like not clipping down the rear roof clips).

Now I just turn off my hearing aids, and smile a lot!!

Our fire extinguisher is in a cradle fastened to the wall so it's a permanent fixture.

I did a similar thing but found the screws had ripped out after the first trip leaving the ext. rolling about the floor. Fixed this by using a couple of threaded insert nuts which has held it firmly in place ever since.
