Hello, I'm looking for a 542 after seeing one & loving it. Enough space for me, my 3 dogs & lovely husband.

Thanks. My in-laws aren't well, so looking for a base as they moved to Scotland & won't have my mutts in the house. It is a very tidy house. I think even I make it untidy. (-:

Hello Jay586, my wife and I have a 2016 542GT and we too love it. We had an older 530 and we did like it but having to climb over one another at night became a bit of a chore. I know that the 542 isn't the choice for the purists but we love the fixed long bed, OK the storage is compromised a bit and the seating in the front is slightly narrower but there's only us two plus dog and it's great for 'flopping' out and just reading during the day.
Ours was only just secondhand from Automotive Leisure when we bought it and we managed to get the triangular infill bed piece FOC but found we don't use it as the V cut out makes getting in and out of bed easier. We sleep with our head at the rear window. I also bought Spring Duvaley mattresses for it, Ummmmmm lovely.

Happy Hunting.

That helps as this is a bit of a leap of faith.

We saw one at Tebay and it is lots easier to get out of. plus we can have a side each. I've got a bit of wonky hip, so that helps and my days of scrambling over people are gone...actually, I've never been one to share!

After a bit more consideration and lots of discussion, coming round to thinking a 535 might be better...
