Our neighbours here in Basse Normandie are organic farmers, and told us the hair clippings from their cows often test high for pollution traced to the Netherlands...fortunately the prevailing wind is in the opposite direction, but it's an eye opener that our wonderful fresh air isn't always so fresh.
