Is anybody going to the January show. It's only 40 minutes or so for me so I've signed up for the £7 Thursday ticket.

Just back and a few observations.
- seemed to be as many motorhomes as caravans on show, which ties in with recent member observations when on sites.
- Hymer not present when I thought earlier details showed they would be there.
- I spoke to Lowdhams who told me NO changes to Eriba modela for 2020, with a limited run of 60 model continuing.
- I still find little visual appeal to a normal white box, but I must say the interiors are generally looking very nice and a feel of quality seems to be the norm.
- I cannot recall seeing any vehicle fitted with the hideous over the top Truma gas heater, apparently superseeded by the combination space and water heater as found on the Troll 535. Come on Eriba, follow the trend!
- I can see why normal white box owners make the pilgrimage each year, when dealer specials take a base model and add cosmetic and practical goodies to produce "specials" at attractive prices
- it is trully frightening to see vans designed for 4 people with payloads of 120kg and that is before the mover is fitted, this was the majority of vans I saw.
- some character vans are out there, the Swift Basecamp is a very attractive package and well specked for the price. My 80yr old uncle is now considering one and he is not the target market.

Be wary if buying a basecamp as there are a lot of reports of them leaking like a sieve. On of our newer members bought one and experienced the interior shower feature when raining and after a deal of correspondence with Swift got rid and bought a Troll. Uncle beware

Thanks for the heads up Mike. He said he's going to luck for one that is a couple of years old. He's got the money to buy new but has the sense not to go this route, so hopefully anything with a problem would have reered it's head.

We parked the other side of the hedge from one last year in the Cotswolds. They had one hell of a job with the awning. All that grunting, groaning and swearing. We were wondering what was going on
