I've just had a look at the numbers, if you go off grid a lot and use several bottles a year its worth it, but if like us you mainly use hookup and only use about 1 bottle or less a year, it would take about 5-7 years to break even. Dave

We travel with one safefill and one standby calor lite. It’s great to able to fill up before a (month-long?) trip. Half the price of Calor but it’s the advantage of a full bottle whenever you want one which suits us. You can also buy adapters (around £10 on eBay I think) which will allow you to fill up on the continent. The setup dropped 20 kilos off the hitch nose-weight which might be important to some.

I think you need separate adapters for many different countries on the continent - I think we worked out we'd need 4 which bumped the cost up significantly
But as Dave says, if you use a heck of a lot of gas then it's worth it
