Hello fellow Eriberists, I have tried to book my 2016 Triton 420gt in for service at AL where I bought it from, unfortunately they
are fully booked until 20th July. Is there anyone you can recommend that is registered for Eriba servicing. I live close to Coventry
so hopefully somewhere in the midlands if possible. Thanks John

I am not surprised AL are booked up.
I booked our Eriba in for a Feb service with Lowdhams of Nottingham last Oct. They are about 50 miles from Coventry.
You could also try Travelworld in Stafford who are a similar distance away from you.

Thanks Colin, I thought Lowdhams would come up, I know people who have had accident repairs done there, wasn’t sure if
they are registered for servicing as my van is still under warranty. Cheers John

John.
I bought a new Triton from them in 2017 and locked into a 5yr service contract with them.
I now live on Merseyside and at the time of purchase lived in Essex, but at about £250 including the Hymer water ingress test it was a no brainer.
The service has at times been a bit hit and miss, but I'll be staying with them whilst the van is under warranty.

Had poor service from Lowdhams so I use Travelworld. Their customer service is fantastic. Our van is about to have a repair (under warranty) after Lowdhams failed to properly carry out window seal recall work.

We've heard good things about Travelworld, so have booked in for a service and damp check in March.
We bought the van from AL in March last year and have no real gripes with them, but the south coast is less easily accessible to us than Stafford.

My understanding, and I am sure you good folks will point out if I am wrong, whilst your van is under warranty the only aspect of a service that requires a registered dealer to carry out to validate the warranty is the water ingress test. The rest of the service can be carried out by any registered service engineers which there are pleanty, especially Mobile ones who will do it at your home or place of storage. The water ingress test is a simple text and certainly, in my expriance, AL has always managed to fit me in. Full service I appreciate is a longer process that requires several hours.

My understanding is that in general the two services required are (1) mechanical and (2) habitation.
The Nation Caravan Council recommend that a habitation service includes checking seals, catches, cabinet doors, full gas pressure testing, damp checks and electrical charging functionality.
I suspect the habitation service is most important for the warranty and corresponding residual value of the caravan and I would always this carried out by a Hymer approved dealer.

Thanks for all your replies, due to holiday commitments I was concerned that I would not be able to get the van serviced before
I put too many more miles on it. I have now booked it in to Lowdhams for next month, I will let you know how it goes.
Cheers John

Quick follow-up from a post earlier in this thread.
I collected my Triton 420 from Travelworld yesterday after the rear window leak was repaired under warranty. The whole process was highly efficient with good communication throughout (including a video of the dismantled rear window). The workshop supervisor talked me through all the work that had been completed and TW handled all the paperwork with Hymer.
When I arrived to collect the van, I was astonished to see three chaps cleaning and polishing, including one on a mobile trestle polishing the top of the pop-top!
Travelworld may be a bit more expensive than others but their customer service is well beyond par. I would not use anyone else.

After my original post there were some positive and negative comments regarding Lowdhams for servicing, I did book in with them and I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised, the only snag was that due to potential flooding my booking was put back a week, however, I found everyone very helpful and efficient, the service was done on time and the van ready for collection was clean inside and out. I was asked to cheque the wheel nut torque while they observed, a good safety point for both parties, something I would have done anyway. Would not hesitate to use them again.

Eriba servicing Top Trumps eh?
When Travelworld fixed the disastrous Lowdams repair, they provided a free sandwich lunch, with soft drinks, when I collected the van. They also, (on there own initiative), have had Hymer agree to replace the rear cushions in case there might be mould damage.
Note that all Hymer dealers do the torque thing. Travelworld even did it after a window repair which may be stretching things a little!
I’m not saying that Lowdhams don’t get it right from time to time, just that, in my experience, Travelworld is a class above.
