Against common sense and most people's advice, we've been with these people for decades but today no longer as they absolutely refused to bring down their car insurance quote by 15 quid to match what they charged last year. Never claimed from them and the current car is now ten years older and a lot less valuable than it was.

Over recent years. the premium has been increasing by the odd tenner so I thought it about time to resist. I even told them that I could get the same cover from an equally reputable company for about £50 cheaper which I have done.

Well done that man. Since moving to a Liverpool postcode, which I'm surprised at as we are in Formby, our car insurance has gone up (high risk area) but house insurance has gone down (low risk area). Work that one out!
When that annoying man on Go Compare did his ad a few months back saying they would pay the £250 excess I got some quotes. I usually run with a total excess of about £100 including the insures compulsory so I upped the excess to reflect the free £250 and my policy renewal went down. I'm now with Sainsburys.
