Don't forget to consider the effect of a sloping drive. I have an up and over door with minimum clearance and have to wind the jockey wheel up/down as necessary as the slope changes from the flat garage floor.

As Roger has posted above the newer post 2010 vans are 226cm, prior to this they were 220cm.
I made our garage opening height 240cm as I did not want to worry about when it went in being nose down and as such back end was high. Only problem is you need a decent width for this to look correct. Our door is 400cm sitting behind a 380cm opening.

Colin, did you need to factor in the height of the garage door when open ?

No. The door tracks and electric motor mechanism do take up space, but this is outside of the door size. Because my door sits behind the reveal and not in it I did not need to worry about these as I have a lot of roof space. When the door is up I retain the 240cm clearance, but do loose about 100mm on the overall width.
The doors are made by Hormaan. https://www.hormann.co.uk/contact-us/ Unfortunately like all nice things they are expensive. Fitted they are about £3.5K on this sort of size for a steel powder coated insulated door with motor etc.. You cannot buy them to fit yourself.
The photo was taken before completion. The motor sits above the cross bar on a track running to the front of the garage above the open door.

Our door opening is 233cms high x 260cms wide. So glad we went for the wider opening, but did drop a clanger. Our van will go through the garage door easily but we did not realise the electronics for the roller door would be in the way of us being able to pop the top inside the garage. The bottom of our rafters are 243cms high...should of been min 255cms. If building garage with breeze blocks, allow for rendering etc. Also check width of door edgings etc.

I'm assuming the dimensions are the clear opening and not the door size. If your van is the lower roof pre 2010 you should be OK on the height. If it is one of the later and taller vans then you really do need a second set of eyes to guide you in on the height. As the van enters you may need some winding up/down of the jockey wheel depending upon how flat the entry to your garage is. A piece of old carpet on the roof is also a good idea when this gap is tight. Fortunately on the width you are fine.
If you have a mover fitted then life will be a lot easier. The photos I've attached show our previous 1300kg Troll. After removing door jambs and lifting the garage doors off, 40kg+ each. I had a finger thickness clearance each side and less than this above. The floor was level but outside the gravel sloped across and away from the garage. This was not an easy job and we eventually bolted a hand winch to the floor. This helped until the teeth were ripped off leaving the van neither in nor out of the opening. Three hours and four people later the van was finally in place.
Conclusion, make life as easy for yourself as possible.
