Hi there all. We have a 2003 Eriba Puck 120GT which we've owned for over 3 years and have been very happy with it. As I'm almost 6' 2" most people's reaction is disbelief that I can actually sleep in it. I usually have to give a demo of the clever bed extension on one side which gives me good room for comfortable sleeping. We pull this with a 1400cc diesel Skoda Fabia Estate and biggest problem is forgetting its behind us! Originally bought it for comfortable festival going but have used it for other holidays and even went to a wedding in France which worked brilliantly. As a bonus we discovered that we didn't need to pay for the van on the toll roads, we assumed because it is so low it didn't register as a caravan on the automated toll booths. Sadly doesn't seem like we'll be heading off anywhere in the near future but we still have lots of lovely memories to keep us going until life returns to the 'new normal'. Roy & Denise

Hi Roy and welcome to Eribafolk.

Yes, at 2 metres high, the Puck isn't classified on French Peages I can only imagine more by luck than judgement though as I don't think the French had paying motorways in the late 50s and early 60s.

The 2 metre height rule I think was brought in to satisfy small commercial vans like the Renault Trafic, VW Transporter and Merc Vitos as well as people carriers.

Remember the joy of not paying on the peage in our PuckL, sadly Troll is too tall.
Enjoy the memories until we can make new ones.

But don't you feel that real glow of excitement and joy when you go through a peage as a Class 1. We usually experience this a couple of times when away and I must say it makes our day. We then usually blow our bounty on a more expensive bottle of wine or a nice fruit tart at the supermarket. Sad isn't it.

hi Roy & Denise
Welcome to the site.

It's a cool reaction that many people have when they first look in our Eribas and are simply amazed at the amount of space we have. I never get tired of showing people round and we always get other campers asking. We have even had people walking past our drive and asking to look in. There are lots of people out there who would like to join us..

It's also cool that you get through the peage unscathed.

Kath & I have sat in our Troll a few times during lock down with a brew and reminisced about the fun we've had. People we've met and sites we've liked. Lets hope its not too long before we are on the road again.
