I think I was a member here 8-10 years ago but our '69 Puck went into long term storage after I got rear ended in my Vanagon by a semi-truck. Last month we started feeling the itch to get out of town after being cooped up for the past few months. So I got my Jetta set up for towing did some minor repairs to the Puck and headed up to the Mendocino coast this past week to enjoy Northern California at it's best.
But the trip also brought out all the deficiencies our Puck has - the ugly blotchy paint job, sketchy floor, horrid hippie style interior and tattered paneling, 50 year old canvas - but we were prepared to cope with that. Fortunately I brought along some of our tent camping supplies because what we weren't prepared for was the stove knobs that refused to turn and the electrical system that obviously needs more troubleshooting. Both of these worked last time I used it so now that we're back it's back to square one.
One thing I'd like is to find out who among you has an older Puck. From what I can tell from various pictures, Eriba went through quite a transformation during the '70s and I'd like to determine what's original and what's not and what upgrades can be added during our restoration that make sense.

Hi Larry and welcome to Eribafolk As well as gleaning much information from this Eribafolk forum site can I ask if you use Facebook?
If so, quite a few years ago we were partially responsible for helping a Facebook group be set up for all our US friends with classic Eribas.
They can be found here:- https://www.facebook.com/groups/1509591689291126/

Thanks. I'll join. I also requested to join a group in Germany that seems to be maintaining a registry. I'm hoping that I can use my serial number to determine when mine was built. It was first registered in California in 1969 but with shipping it to the U.S. and all it could possibly be older.
