Hi took delivery of new 530 troll used quite a few times todate first issue awnings. I purchased an Isabella Capri North and found the centre tubular fabrication which raises the caravan side centre of the awning to be set at the wrong angle which resulted in excessive permanent distortion of the secondary awning bead When I raised this issue with the supplier of both the van and the awning I was initially told I was not the first to have had this issue, but this stance quickly changed stating i needed to fit SP brackets to the van by drilling into the awning rail. I declined this option and returned the awning, and have since purchased a Walker awning that seems far better suited to the application. However I still have a concern the new awning has a fast fit clip for the 2 side poles to awning rail and the hook of the pole connects in a horizontal orientation to the clip interface which is awkward when erecting the awning (I find anyhow!) but again the awning pack does offer an alternative awning clip which require drilling into the van to secure, my point being these are orientated in the vertical so the pole hooks hang on to the clips which seems a better configuration but who wants to drill a brand new van.
My other issue water, the van is specified and fitted with an external connection for 12V and water quick fit connector for aquaroll connection which is great. But the van also has an on board tank with lockable filler point externally on the van, the tank when checked still holds a small volume of water even when the tank drain is left open, and the on board pump activates in paralell with the external pump every time the a tap is opened. This supply is tee'd into the cold water supply. My issue here is first health safety if this water in the inboard tank were go 'off' due to redundancy it can in theory enter the vans water system. Secondly would it not be better and safer to remove this tank and pump wiring etc for UK vans and provide another larger area for storage etc????
