[[File:11A08EC0-0E0F-404A-9B37-8CE5EEBA649A.jpeg]]We just bought a 1968 Eriba Troll. We are VW enthusiasts and are new to Eribas. The trailer is very very original, complete and in excellent shape for its age. We would welcome any and all advice regarding original information on these, where to buy parts and restorations. Also looking for a good place to document the restoration, can we do that on here?

Hi Miranda and welcome to Eribafolk. She's a beauty and a very early one. Not that many left on the road I suspect.
Here's a 1967 brochure linked from our brochure pages. https://files.homepagemodules.de/b614104...15_GHozYudI.pdf
As you can see there are a few different Troll models. The door position could be in one of two positions.(square topped door indicates that it's pre 1973). The Troll O has long beds and a front dinette while the Troll M has cross beds and a front dinette. There was also a Troll T which has long beds and a small front dinette.
Further Troll Layouts were introduced later.
The first thing to look for and repair if necessary, is chassis rust. The red line on this diagram indicates the problem areas.

Some early Trolls had a "Z" axle where the offside wheel was not in line with the nearside wheel. Easy to see by just looking at each side view. I doubt you're has however. I think they were around in 1964.

Thanks very much! This is great info. The chassis is in excellent shape, the whole thing really is, we have gone through and found a little bit of water damage in the rear corner that we should be able to repair without damaging the originalvinyl floor, vinyl wall etc as its all in excellent shape. We have narrowed down the main list of things we need to do; repair the small area of water damage, replace all of the window seals and a couple windows, rubber trim around the tope middle and bottom, respray the fibreglass top and pop top and replace the pop top canvas. We will keep as original as possible!

Curious about the Troll T as we thought it was an O, but the front dinette/bed looks slightly different than the layout on the O. There is an extra front box and cushion piece on ours.

Troll O.jpg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte) Troll O.
Troll T.jpg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte) Troll T (not sure if this model was offered in 1968. It may have been discontinued.
Looking at your pics again it is a Troll O due to the position of the sink.

Welcome and nice to see your fine old Troll. Back in 2014 I spotted the same model in the Loire valley, France. I think it had been in the same Dutch family from new, passing from father to son and then the sons brother. It was original inside. I think at times it has also been called a 510.
