Advice needed - Where to put table when sleeping

Hi,

Recently took ownership of a late 70s Familia.

I’ve only spent one night away so far and wondered where people store the main table when sleeping? There doesn’t seem to be a logical place to stow it away so I placed it upright near the door. This was impractical as I had to move it, in the dark during the night to take the dog out.

I’m sure there’s an obvious solution - Id love to hear it!

Appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Hi. We have a Triton and two dogs. We put our table outside and underneath at night. It needs a wipe over in the morning but like the deckchairs are too bulky to leave inside.

We did think about under the van as an option then checked the replacement cost if someone liberated it in the night - £700 !!!!! So it lives in the car boot overnight.

Thanks All for those suggestions/options. - it seems a bit of an oversight that there is no ‘clever’ designated space for it however.

I would have thought it would clip onto the side of the cupboard or inside the cupboard. Seems like it’s crying out for an engineering solution.

For now it looks like it’s car.

Has anything changed with the modern Eribas?

Our table lives in the summerhouse, very useful for eating outside in our garden, totally useless in an Eriba 😁

our 418 (2007version) did have a storage slot complete with straps and studs the table in our much newer 540 lives in our loft - unused and unloved.
The bean counters have got on the job so these details which to them are obviously irrelevant are a continuous source of irritation to us who actually use the product.

Rant over - honest

We have a Familia 320, If we have no awning up the table goes in the car, it will also fit under the bed when it is made up.

We have one of these fixed to the inside left side of our wardrobe... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Buckle-Lashing-...3654477&sr=8-15 which holds the table in place when travelling or not in use. Then realised it never moved from the spot for 2 years, so now is stored in our loft!!

Right. Well at least I haven’t missed something obvious.

It won’t go under the bed as my mattress is the pull out seats (slid out). Sounds like there’s no ‘ready made’ solution, so it’s into the car overnight so.

Note to Eriba - have a think about engineering solution.

Thanks All.

Our freestanding table (very heavy) stays at home where it makes a great sewing table. It is a great example of over-engineering.

We replaced it with an aluminium roll top table, which either lives in the awning or if no awning, collapses and stays under the bed. It is a bit like aluminium origami but quite effective.

Likewise, our table is too big & heavy too take with us & too expensive to leave outside It also gets in the way of the door of our Puck L.

I made up one myself last year & wiped it with Danish oil. It won't suit most Eribas, but we can put a kettle, induction hob or Remoska on it & we're not too precious about leaving it out at night.

We have a 2007 Triton. The large table stores on the outside edge of the wardrobe/ cupboard. There are two straps and two poppers to secure it in place.
Mind you, we slide it under the bed when sleeping.
