So, damp meter ordered. Does anyone know if there are any strengthening ribs in the fiblreglass pop up roof? If so are they timber? The lines across our van suggest yes but they are not at regular intervals.

Those are crop marks. The straightness of the lines suggests a Romano-British settlement of some kind.

Have you found any pottery?

We have a similar problem and are considering going the 'wallpaper' route - the caravan warehouse sells a 1300mm wide ceiling paper with a marbled finish that looks similar to the existing finish on our 2007 Troll; maybe this would look better than paint?

Don't be too surprised Colin. This is the back of our house, a project we started (not yet finished) during lockdown. We couldn't decide on a colour
Next colour? Either bright yellow or a nice shade of green. That's all dependant on whether I can get up there to paint it

Yes - it should work well with the navy, yellow and grey striped fabric we have in the van when fitted - just a bit concerned that it might make the interior a bit dark but if we have to rip it out and start again it's only thirty quid down the drain.
Just got to get a good warmish day to fit it now.

Hi Randa, I was just reading and wondered if you did purchase a damp meter, push your finger nail in or just paint your ceiling… ours is a little discoloured, so thinking what to do with it . Thank you x
