Hello Folks !
Following my (re-)presentation, let me show here some pictures of my 1972 Triton.
Registered in may 1972, it has been built in Thann, the very first french Eriba plant.

I bought it 2018. Interior was in good condition, but the exterior has suffered from long sun exposure

Then, the very first works were to change the 3 tilting windows seals and to do a quick treatment for the chassis.

Seals came from Eribasar.de, and it has not been a pleasure to change them

For the chassis, I applied two layers of rust converters on the most corroded parts, ans then two mayers of polyurethan paint. The plywood was not humid, but the exterior skin was delaminating, so I remove it, and then used a paint dedicated for outdoors wood parts.

It doesn't turning it into new chassis, but as the caravan is stored in a dry warehouse, I think it will give it has increased dramatically its lifespawn

Well done. Nice to see a classic being given a bit of love and attention. Keep going.

Nice job chataigne. Are you in a sunny part of France as I suppose weather and or decent garage facilities must help enormously in giving you the encouragement to get involved in projects like this?

Here's the link for Eribasar. https://www.eribasar.de/

For other members, this is a little about the Thann factory : Thann built Eribas

Not that much sunny. I bought the Triton in Burgundy, near Beaune, and its registeration (trailers above 500kg have their own licence here). During the paint job, I discovered that its very first life was in Jura. I think it has been stored under a covered shelter, but without walls.

After being sure that the van is watertight, I made few improvments to get it ready for its first summer holidays, in Lozère and Gorges du Tarn, in August 2018
