Alarms & Trackers - What are you all doing?

Hi all,
I’ve just had a look down the eriba threads ( well, the first several pages) and couldn’t find the answers in any existing threads.
We’re starting to get things ready for our new Troll 540 which s scheduled for March/ April delivery. We’ve had a Phantom tracker and manufacturers alarms in the white boxes over the last few years, but didn’t have any such security devices in our last troll before that.
We have an ongoing contract with Phantom, but I wanted to know what you guys think on the subject; what alarms do you have? Would you rather not get the van back (no tracker) than see all the damage to your pride & joy?
On a wider perspective, is the much of a theft problem with eribas?
I’m looking forward to your views.

Theft of an Eriba is not a common occurence. I have owned mine since 2003 and been on Eriba forums since that date. I can recall one van being stolen.
Trackers have been mentioned before, but I seem to think the general opinion was would you like to get a stolen van back? As regards security measures I think I am fairly typical and go the wheel clamp and hitch lock route.

Hitch lock and wheel clamp. As Colin said theft of Eriba’s is practically unheard off but in the worst case scenario I’m definitely in the wouldn’t want it back trashed camp.

Good to hear that these smart looking vans are low on the scum bag radar. We have a wheel lock and hitch lock. There is a 2nd lock on the door too.
Oh, then there's the moat, electric fence and snarling guard dogs

Thanks for the replies everyone; I would normally agree that I wouldn’t want it back damaged, but I have the following thoughts:-
1). We are having to wait 6 months to get our new van delivered ( much longer if we hadn’t selected a pre-ordered stock model.) so maybe I would have it fixed up.
2). We already have the tracker subscription paid for for 2 years and we would want an alarm for deterrence. We’ll also get a good discount on our insurance.
3). A friend of ours recently had their white box nicked, but it was found 10 miles away via the tracker, it is apparently common for crim’s to leave them for a few days until it isn’t so ‘hot’. There was annoying but minimal damage and they were back using it a week later.
We’ll add a hitchlock, 2 wheel clamps and with a locked sturdy gate & security cameras hopefully they’ll go further down the road. (There’s a nice big Bailey down there.) 😎😎

Interesting you asked the question...hopefully picking up our first ever Eriba (caravan) and been wandering if it is worth it. Gonna buy 2 Nemesis ultra wheel lock and a nemesis hitch lock. Also chain it to the house!
Had door handle tried twice in the last 10 days, one at 4am and the other at 930pm on boxing day!
