Eribas for sale

Hi All

Were do I begin? I have got two Eriba's for sale and I am after some help and guidance.
I need to sell these due to some very unfortunate Covid related reasons time isnt to much of an issue but by April would be good, as fingers crossed it will be the start of the caravan season.

What I think I know so far:

Troll 540 GT 2003
Puck L 225 GT 2006

Very little use with probably every extra you can think of / but yet to be confirmed as I have a lot to sort through.

I am a caravaner and mechanic so should be able to get these to a great stander given time, I guess my questions are:

Some guidance on price would be really apreciated.
Should I sell them as they are.
Should I put a lot time and effort in to make them perfect.
Do we have a guide to to break down exactly what the VIN plate stands for.

Well the good news is you have two desirable vans. The Troll 540 is probably the most in demand Troll and the Puck L probably sells at a higher than expected price, even when compared to other Eriba's
Prices on vans of there age are generally more dependant upon specification and condition than age alone. You need to work out a full and detailed specification for each van, including axle loads, spare wheel, hitch type, water tanks, heater, hot water,exterior condition etc. Only then can you get a true idea.
Please do not be fooled into expecting the prices main dealers get. They can be as high as £4K extra.

Guy. Can I ask you a couple of questions please? Are you a dealer or a private seller? Our members will need to know who they are dealing with.

Also, you say you have a 2006 PuckL 225? Are you sure of the date or the model as I think I'm correct in saying that in 2006 the PuckL was a 230 model'

Yes these are a private sale.
As I mentioned in my first post "I think these are" but no doubt im wrong.
I was really after some feed back on how the VIN plate works so i know exactly what im dealing with or until I get through all the paper work.

In the coming days I will post more information and full spec.

I thought I would just introduce myself so i can pick all of your brains or until someone convinces me that I should sell my 6 berth Bailey Pagasus now my children have grown up and keep one of the vans!

Right, here we go Guy.

On both your Eribas you should have an aluminium plate on the outside bodywork somewhere near the bottom of the door.

These plates will give you the VIN number. You should be able to match your Troll up near enough to the numbers on the Forumeriba touirng link below.

eg, 2003 Troll numbers appear to be around 277703 (2003) 278218 (2004)

The PuckL in a less popular model (only because they were only made for 15 years between 1995 and 2010) but if the rear light clusters are identical to the one in the link below and the fridge vents are in the side of the van then you've got a 230 and not a 225.

sell the Pegasus and keep the Troll. If the weather is good you will be outside, if it's poor you have enough room inside. Only thing you may miss is the shower, but if you use a serviced site or CL this will not be a problem. You'll love 35/40mpg when towing, and that's what I get with a petrol engine.

Give up the Bailey, you know it makes sense😂 but then we would say that, wouldn’t we 😂😂

If the layout of your PuckL looks like the photo Randa posted then it’s a 230. The 225 had the kitchen across the end and the large wardrobe next to the seat.

We upgraded from our Lunar Lexon fixed bed, to our lovely Troll 540. We have only used ours once so far and we love the uniqueness of these caravans. Can't wait to get out and about this year..fingers crossed

Yessir, it is a 230

You now need to put down an asking price. I can't help you there but if you shop around you'll see what some retails are asking for these models.
