Hello all,
Could any of the knowledgable collective answer a query for me please? Will the Kampa pop air pro 290 fit a 2001 225L? We are hoping to pick up a new to us 225L so don’t yet know the awning rail height but the Kampa 290 says the fitting height is 184 to 198 cm. does anyone have a Puck L with this awning, does it fit?
Many Thanks

Martin,
the Puck L and Familia both take the same awnings. The awning rail is the same in length and height from the ground. The Kampa 290 is the correct awning for the Familia and as such it is the correct awning for the Puck L.
A couple of bits of advice on the awning. Do not buy the storm straps, but do buy the model specific awning carpet. It is excellent. The extra canopy front is also worth getting. It is not very big but does a decent job.

Puck L 230 awning question

Hello!
I'm having a nightmare trying to get an awning for our Puck L 230 GT (2009).
We were advised that the Kampa Pop Air 260 was the right size (even though I told them our awning height was 185cm) and spent a frustrating time this morning putting it up (as a dry run before we go away) and finding out that it is way too short.
Noted the comments about the 290 on another post but was advised that this would be too long for our awning rail (which is 260cm long).
Getting very frustrated with these awning shops that seem to know very little about their products!
Help please!

The 260 is the odd one in the range. It is lower in height as it is designed for the Puck, as you have now found out. The only thing I can think of is the retailer has looked at the 260 and thought as your rail is 260 long it is what you need.
The number relates to the length in cm at floor level and not along the rail. The 290 will be about 45/50 shorter at rail height and is the correct length for your Puck L.
The dealer has miss-sold you an awning. They should collect it at there cost and replace it with the correct awning. I would push for some form of compensation for the inconvenience, eg the model specific carpet and a nice canopy.
