Also note, if your feed wires are brown and blue (which appears to be the weird continental standard for 12v DC) Blue is live so connects to the red wire, and Brown is negative, and connects to the black wire. Obviously not to be confused with the 240V AC where brown is live and blue neutral. Call me old fashioned but red and black for the 12V makes more sense.
