Troll 540 weight history

While furckling around the archives I thought I'd note down the weights of Troll 540's over the years. You'll see from the figures below that the 540's empty weight has grown from 840kg to 986kg in 2020. That's a 146kg increase over 20 years, or 17%. In 2000 there was what was called an LMT or a GT, the GT being a bit heavier and having a 1200kg MTPLM which meant a payload of around 240kg. However as the GT is extra weight these days I've stuck with the basic van.

It's also noticeable that the basic payload has risen from the tiny 100kg of 2003 to 2016/17's highest of 359kg, though that has shrunk a tad since, if I remember correctly Hymer chose to add a few virtually essential items into the basic weight, rather than count them as options.

There's a gap in 2010 when production transferred to Germany and the 540 wasn't shown in that year's price list.

And the archive doesn't appear to have a 2015 price list in any language.
