Very stiff drain down valves

Hi All
Thanks to those of you who messaged me helpful info prior to first trip recently in Familia. I have a question about my water drain valves. I have 6 in total: two under the sink, two by the water tank and two by the hot water tank. The problem is that to stop water leaking out underneath when the water is all connected I have to turn them on so tightly that they are practically impossible to unscrew to drain down (especially the ones under the sink that are very tricky to get my fingers round in the cupboard!). Do they need replacing? If so is this a specialist a DIY job?
Many thanks for any advice

May be a worthwhile exercise to lubricate a couple of valves to seee if there's any improvement,

If you turn a valve anti-clockwise until it reaches the end of its thread you'll be able to remove the spindle by pulling upwards.
Use a good smear of plumber's grease (silicone grease) on the spindle and particularily around its O ring.

if that improves things you can do the rest of the valves.

Plumber's grease is available from places like Toolstation.

Another thought:

If lubrication doesn't help perhaps the valve stems are too tight where they pass through the floor.

You can check this by undoing the two mounting screws on a valve and checking to see if there's any wiggle room.
