Hello everyone.
Just awaiting delivery mid to end of August of my first Eriba.
A big change and new kit to learn.
Hope to learn a lot and contribute back to the group.
Retired aircraft engineer so I like doing lots of modifications on my previous vans.

Hi Mike,

Ordered 542 Adventure dealer special.

Have two lithium batteries and inverter, plus a lot of other bits to get fitted all from previous vans.

Sadly wife passed away last year and a big twin axle fixed bed plastic van, was just to much space. I gave it a few trips away to ensure i was doing correct thing. Being tall my friends think i am mad, but bed is larger and with roof up i can stand straight, so what more do i need.

Sorry to hear about your wife.

The 542 is a good van and a doddle to tow. You getting it from ALV at Tebay? We use them for servicing our 540

Your height shouldn't be a problem at all, as long as you remember how low the door goes - the Eriba door head "kiss" is famous. You can usually avoid it by putting a hand on the top of the door frame as you exit.

Yes used to low door on Hercules aircraft and did same hand above before exit. After a few times saying hello to frame.
