Hi there,
I am having difficulty locating replacement tyres for our 2005 Triton 430GT. Previously, 10 years ago, the tyres fitted were 195/70 R14 96T, 5 years ago they were 195/70 R14 95H which I have been told are inappropriate. I am confused especially as two major suppliers do not have these sizes available. Tyre sizes may have changed(?) Can anyone advise me as to which tyres I should be fitting and where I can easily purchase them. All help gratefully received. Thanks.

Our 2017 model Triton 420GT 1200Kg was brand new and still with the tyre sticker on the spare. It came with commercial van tyres. They are Barum Vanis 2 and are size 185 R 14 C with a load rating 102/100Q. They have performed well in all types of weather.

As above. Lots of debate on tyres over the years, going back to 2007 when Hymer looked at tyres and pressures on Eriba Touring. The 102 rating does look high, but we are now in our 4th year of running our 1200kg Triton on these commercial tyres at 48psi and they have proved good.

We have just had Kendra Kargo trail tyres fitted, they replaced the original 2004 tyres that were fitted new.
They were like new, as the van was only used twice.

Thanks to all who replied. I have made a note of the tyre size for the future. It appears that the problem at the moment is one of supply. Like a lot of things orders are tied up around the world in containers in the wrong place. I managed to find a local dealer who had only 2 195/70 R14 DAVANTI DX390 XL 96N in stock but couldn't get any more which I had fitted. He managed to get a 195/70 R14 INFINITY ECOVAN 101T to fit on the spare, hopefully it will not have to be used. Downside was that manufacture date was 8 months ago which eats into the 5 year life.I did ask politely for a discount which was equally politely refused on the grounds that he was hardly making a profit on the tyre and should really up his price due to scarcity. I suppose he had a point. Thanks again.

I always remove my wheels and store them over long periods of non use. Especially over the winter months.
