Hi everyone. My name is Elma & hubby's name is Dave..We live in Derbyshire near the Peak District. We have just purchased a Rockabilly ( naming her RITA lol ) We pick her up in August. So so excited to try her out. We've come full circle with a small motorhome then medium then large, the a large caravan and now our Rockabilly. Just a few questions ...I have all sorts of ideas about interior decor, but as the seats are faux leather id like to get some covers for them as we have a dog, Also I have been looking at eveyones brilliant pictures and have seen door screen as in like beads or stripes the ones you hang yourself. Where can I purchase them... We have never been abroad in a van or motorhome so would be interested if there were group organised trips or anything.
Cant wait for out first Eriba Folk UK meet. So any hints tips and advice will be greatly received.
Thanks
Elma xxxx

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new purchase. You will find your van coms with a very good horizontal sliding fly screen, so no worries about sourcing a bead one.
I'm guessing the easiest thing to do would go to your friendly upholsterer and have replacement covers made. Amore drastic alternative could be to swap your order for a standard 530 so no faux leather.
In previous years a European trip has been organised by continental groups and a UK organised one was due to take place in 2020. This obviously did not happen but I wouldn't be surprised if it got off the ground in the future.
Many of us take our vans abroad, in fact this is what we prefer for many reasons. If you wanted advice on location. sites, driving abroad etc then ask awa and you will get inundated with answers.

to the Forum. There is a smallish Meet (17 vans so far I think) taking place in Tewkesbury in October. Come along with your lovely new Rockabilly. To cover our seats, no dogs just really pale trim, I bought a large bedspread then halved it and tucked it round the seats. Don’t know if that would be a good enough fix for dogs.

There are some great get-togethers to join.
If you want to travel abroad, you'll find members all over the place to help in case of a problem. We're in Brittany, for example. We're really looking forward to the meeting in the Dordogne next June - covid- willing LOL

Hi Elma and Dave

Another one here in the Peak District. We go the same route as Julie Grafo with regard to covering the seats, we have a dog she's not alowed on the seats but I'm really clumsy. Washable throws work well if tucked in tight. Look forward to seeing you if you manage to get to the October meet.

Have fun
