Has anyone removed the toilet assembly from a Triton? We have an unpleasant odour which i suspect is from a leak sometime during the past 15 years that has contaminated the floor. I want to take the unit out, lift the shower tray, cut out the floor and fit a new piece.
Any guidance is welcome! 😀

Given there've been four designs of Touring range washroom in the last 20 or so years and that the washrooms in 420 and 430 vans are in slightly different places, with different pieces of structure underneath, it's probably a good idea to specify which model Triton and which year. The 15 year comment suggests 2006MY which was the second year of the dark grey worktop washroom.
The problem you may have is that there might be nothing underneath to fix any replacement panel to and without that it's possible that any panel might give way causing a user to fall through the floor.
A couple of random thoughts:
Removal of the toilet only might be a simpler, easier job and as Eriba showers are rarely used it's unlikely that area is a cause for concern.
Is it possible the unpleasant odour is not from a leak but from a dead rodent. Having suffered that smell a couple of times over the years it is 'orrible, but subsides after a few weeks.

Thanks for your response. Much appreciated. It is indeed a 2006 my, 430 GT. Mottled dark grey washroom surfaces. The odour is reminiscent of a council run public urinal, not nice. Have wiped all visible surfaces and the cassette with disinfectant and nice smellies but it is still wiffy. Even if the floor is ok, the thought is that it needs drying and treating. Would like to do the job myself but may call in the local service guy.

Just a thought but have you removed the toilet cassette itself and left it out of the van for a week or so to see if the odour remains. It might be that the seals of the cassette are leaking the smell and that a clean out, plus new seals will solve the problem, or even a replacement cassette. It would take a particularly careless owner to have enough toilet fluids run out through the cassette cubby hole and down onto the flooring beneath, especially in any quantity enough to cause the problem you suspect.

Hi, cleaned cassette inside and out, filled with clean water and left it in the fresh air for a week. Still wiffy. Will replace the seal and try again. Suspect that a previous owner has has a major accident in the middle of the night as it looks as if an attempt to remove the unit has been made.
Will persevere until it gets better.🤔

The installation manual on the following link may help, although the instructions a fairly basic, so it can't be too hard to remove.

Fitted a new seal today. The old seal was very soft compared to the new one. New seal appeared to "seal" much better.
We will see, or possibly smell, if that has cured it.

Update. The new seal would appear to have solved the issue of the wiffy toilet!
