Bah, humbug, Strictly

What is wrong with the world. I've not long finished dinner, a nice chicken pie with new pots & green beans, made nicer by a good bottle of French (wish I was there) white wine. Mrs eribaMotters then decides to put on Strictly whilst I take the days rubbish to bins and recycling. Every bloody van I passed with a TV is watching it. I want a good murder mystery.

Sat in kitchen having consumed some scampi with a stuffed red pepper, plus a nice G&T and a glass of Chardonnay. Our Mrs SDA has decamped to the lounge and, you've guessed it, bloomin' Strictly. Oh dear. Can't wait for tomorrows Vigil.

Andy , did you know Vigil is one of the very few BBC programs to be streamed from iplayer in 4K and with HDR. If you have a 4k smart tv you can watch it (but after the live transmission)

We don’t have a TV at home and therefore obviously not in the van. We got rid about 8 years ago. If we had to watch TV we would end up at the doctors for pills 😬😬

Yesterday it overlapped with the F1 qualification highlights but I'm proud to say that the missus wanted to watch those.
We do watch Strictly but only if we know and like the contestants.

We hardly watch the box anyway, so have no idea who the contestants are.
Every year they seem to get further down the barrel.

Big fan of Strictly. Watch and enjoy every episode. I admire the production, organisation, cheerfulness and colour of the sets. The skill of the professional dancers is world class and so athletic. The high standard of choreography at so short notice is amazing and most of all everybody smiles which is so uplifting in the world we currently live in. Watching people out of their comfort zone learning new skills and engaging with world class athletes is something that you don't get to see very often. Long may it continue.

Met with proud new Eriba owners earlier this year at Morton Hall Edinburgh.
They asked us what our TV reception was like and we had to say that we didn't have a TV.
Their reply was "you must still talk to each other then, we haven't done that for years"
