Caravan and Motorhome Club towing training

Just back from a weekend of CMC towing training (at Hills of Plumpton in Sussex). I was a bit dubious as I towed for some time but have had a long gap before towing again this summer but I can thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their towing skills. Lots of practical manoeuvring backed up by theory and none of that blokey banter from the tutor I personally find really off putting.

It's a few years back now but I did the CMC course at a spot near Wrexham and it was truly excellent. for the practical part you use their CMC liveried empty caravan and your own towcar.

I had nothing to do on this hot afternoon
But to settle down and write you a line

I did one back in September last year.
They supply a caravan in our case a shell also used as storage for cones etc. You use your own vehicle and do need to have towing mirrors as well.

Yes, as others have said you supply the car and they supply the caravans. Annoyingly the need for towing mirrors isn't mentioned in the pre-course blurb but it asks you to bring work gloves (I had a pair of gardening gloves handy) which we never used. They lent us towing mirrors for day one and I went and collected ours from the caravan for day two.
