HI, New to Eriba ownership, having just sold our motorhome. Not new to caravans, worked at Avondale in seventies, and built demountable caravans and luxury live in horse transportation in noughties. John

Hi John and welcome to this forum. Nice to have you on board. So, after all your experiences with designing various modes of living while away from the home you've hit on the perfect solution...An Eriba
Seriously though, as ex-designers we love the quirkiness of them. Not perfect by any means but....
Which model do you have and are you thinking of knocking it about a bit to satisfy your needs?
R and A

Hi R&A,

we thank you for your kind welcome, and we are looking forward to participating in this vibrant forum.

We are in the process of buying a1999 Triton, standard except for a 'Reich' mover, which is essential on our narrow lane for safety. Although having towed vans since sixties, it is a 600metre reverse up my lane to be able to park on my property, not great for clutches or torque converters as it is half way steep up followed by a steeper down. We tow with a 2011 1.6tdi VW Caddy or a 2002 Mercedes ML 270 in the winter. We will be as usual looking to upgrade the interior electric, and gas to latest standards, however we always are sympathetic to the original style of the vehicle.

We live in Basse Normandie and will probably tour in Brittany and the Loire, while we get used to the van.

Regards P & J

Hi both. Sounds great. We too have a '99 model but a Troll 530 with a purple stripe. We absolutely love the Caddy as it's all things Touran but more space. Very envious. We're touring France at the moment and are gradually wending our way back north before returning to Blighty at the beginning of July.
In the meantime we will be visiting near La Rochelle and the Eriba Owner's Club Abroad Rally.
Regards
R and A

Welcome to the forum.

You'll find that quite a few of us are French camping addicts and some are on your side of La Manche at the moment. We'll be coming over in September and heading south.
