Hello lovely Eriba folk!! I am a complete newbie to Eriba and had my first ever little dude delivered today! A 2006 310 Familia. I love him so much already and can’t wait to start my adventures in him!

That's just like my last one. I hope you have as much joy as we did in the 6 summers we had her.

Looks good. Welcome. (Just don't leave the brake on while it's parked up or it might seize on.)

Hi Joolls & welcome to the site.

Your van looks ace.

Good advice from Tinkerbell.

If you are storing it outdoors and it has been used just check that all the water is out of any taps you may have. I lost two taps to frost two years ago and they are expensive to replace. A blown up balloon can blow the last bits out.

I'm sure you will have many great adventures with you van.

Thanks Mike. The blown up balloon has stumped me. How would you do that? Thanks for the tip though, there is water in it at the moment so I’ll get in there at the weekend and drain it all out.

Turn off the 12v, open the tap and pull an inflated balloon over the end of the tap. When the air escapes out of the balloon it should blow any water left in the tap body, tube and pump back into the jerry can under the sink.
Somebody posted a while ago that you could try the pump from an inflatable awning to blow the water out. For this you would need a short length of bike innertube to make the join.

Ok, thanks! I’ll do that this weekend. Don’t want my little tardis getting damaged over winter!!

Hi Joolz

Yes just as Colin says. I do it 2 or 3 times just to be sure all the water is out of the body of the tap.

I then put an old hiking sock over the tap to insulate it and then put an old towel on top. Once you have had one £200+ bill you get really careful in winter

Cheers
