The double glazed seal of the fixed front window of my 1991 Troll is letting in moisture and misting up. Jandi are quoting me £615 supply. Is there anywhere cheaper ? If the moisture is not causing damage to the bodywork internally then I think I would put up with it.

I'm not sure if this will help, but I seem to recall reading somewhere that if you remove the two small, circular plastic plugs from the top corners of the internal panes, you can allow the windows to dry out naturally.

When dry, replace the plugs.

I'm sure that someone with more knowledge about this will be along pretty soon to correct me if I'm misleading you.

This is the very helpful info. I received from Jandi :-

As to whether or not this is just cosmetic, the short answer is we don't know. However, it probably only means the window has delaminated and nothing worse. If this is the case, the window will be fine as long as it isn't disturbed. If it has delaminated, the two panes will separate when the window is removed so we would say "Leave well alone until you're ready to change it". I've just checked and Hymer have 60 of these windows in stock. I don't imagine they go through many a month so, while there are no guarantees there won't suddenly be a rush on them, I reckon you have time to get round to changing it. Unless you intend changing the caravan in the next year or so, however, I would keep it on the horizon.

Meanwhile, keep an eye on the area of wall around the window, i.e. inside the 'van. If the condensation only affects the window, the wall will be fine. If any discolouration appears, that could suggest something more.

Sometimes this condensation appears due to sudden temperature changes or when washing the van I had it on our Burstner but it cleared itself

I washed ours yesterday evening and one of the the front windows misted partly. It's fine this morning.

Yes and thanks, ours seems to be very occasionally and with the extreme temps at the moment, that's probably the answer. Will ignore.

Had the same on my Puck L after a cool night, the sun would clear an area, but the bit in the shade remained slightly misty until the shade moved and cleared as it did so . It has never been a problem, and only occurs on a few occasions :) So it looks like it's probably not a 'problem' !
