CSV 409 wiring

I�m fitting a 12v cigar socket for a tv. I�ve noticed at the at the charging unit CSV409 the wires already plugged in are the other way round, brown cable into the negative side blue to positive side. So Do I take the positive from the 12v socket and connect to the negative side on the charge unit? Thanks

Most, if not all, continental caravans and motorhomes use the wiring convention of blue = +12V and brown = 0V.

Ensure the cable to the socket is rated at least 12 Amps - I use 1.5mm flex cable which can carry 16 Amps.

And fit a 10 Amp fuse at the CSV end.

As John has confirmed it is confusing. To avoid this situation I went a different route. I attached fly leads directly to the battery with a 10amp fuse in each line. These feed my TV supply, a small under bed push button LED light just inside the hatch and a pair of fridge fans. The added advantage of this is when I knock the main 12v isolator when sitting up in bed I don't turn the TV off.
