Fitting a wheel clamp.

My 1994 Eriba Puck arrived today! I want to fit a Halfords wheel clamp but think I may have to remove the plastic cover on the wheel to make it fit properly. I'm afraid to pull it off in case it snaps. Need to fit it so I'm covered by my insurance. Any advice welcome.

1994 Eriba Puck. 13" Wheels?

If so then this is the wheel clamp we've used forever on our Troll. It'll fit over plastic wheel trims and also has the benefit of covering access to the wheel bolts.

It can be purchased at other outlets as well as Halfords.
