Puck Walls?

Hi Everyone!

I’m wondering if anyone has tried peel and stick removable wall paper? My ‘69 Puck has the common yellow walls, which are okay, but I’m wondering if it would be amendable to a covering? It’s possible it won’t stick or will be impossible because of the curves.

Thanks!

Brenda, I have to admit it is not something I would like to try and attempt. I'm guessing with a good clean it might have a chance of sticking, but from memory the plasticised surface is slightly textured. A combination of this and the curves things leads me to say I don't think it would be good for your mental health to attempt it.
Why not clean and degrease the surface, use an all surface or melamine and tile primer then paint with an acrylic/water based eggshell paint.

Hey Colin-

I am also considering this idea! Yeah I didn’t want to waste the money on peel and stick if no one had ever attempted and had success with it. Thank you for the specific suggestions as you are saving me lots of research! I’d love to see how this turns out. With a turquoise sink/stove/icebox and the orange pop top it will help to eliminate a color (yellow) to consider when picking out curtains and cushion covers! Thanks so much!
