When I were a lad, on 23rd April Cubs, Scouts, Brownies and Guides would proudly march through
town applauded by patriotic flag waving onlookers.

And yesterday Mrs E and I marked Earth Day by wearing a garland of green and yellow striped cable around our necks.

We try and remember to do this every year - we call it 'Equipotential Bonding'.

Don�t even need to go back that far. Eldest daughter (36 now) did St George�s Day parade with the Brownies, late 90�s if my maths and memory are correct.
