Tony, if that box section is 3-sided (and not open at its top) it should be located higher up, about halfway between the vents.
Its purpose is to direct airflow through the fridge cooling matrix - it's dropped to the floor and is now blocking airfow completely.
There should be four wooden dowels, two each side on the right and left-hand panels which the box mounts on.
The inside back corners of the box sits on two dowels and it's held against the wall between the vents with the other two.
It's a right faff to relocate it with the fridge in situ, but it can be done with a couple of grunts and some choice expletives.
You should be able to feel where the dowel or their holes are - the original dowels may not be around anymore.
