So the big news is that all models are 19cm longer as they are built on I think a Knott chassis. New factory fit mover at a better price, no stain resistant fabrics, no sprung seating, new lighting clusters, new ambient lighting around the pop top. Proper room for a bike rack now, and a huge boot door as an option underneath the rear of a fixed bed

Admittedly I only ran through a configurator on a 540 and a 560 but I didn't notice it offering a fixed bed option on the 560, which I would've thought would be an option as the lounge area is 530 size. Maybe as there's nowhere else to sit as there's bunks up front they aren't offering a fixed bed.
I can't remember the old internal body lengths, for comparison, but is the extra length in the A frame and the body's are the same as before? Certainly on a 540 the front bed width is the same and the rear bench length looks the same. So if the body is longer it's either a wider door or kitchen.

Has anybody else heard that the Knott chassis and hitch being fitted instead of the Alko is a cheaper and lighter product.
There are many things I do not like, in fact I would describe some of them as tacky or bling, but that's just me What is a fact, is how confusing and un user friendly the configurator is.

It looks like they have dropped the Familia 320 model??
I like the new clean lines and the chrome bumpers, some of the accessories are a bit expensive, the radio package is £1070....
I configured the 310 to what I have got now (320) without the toilet and it came to £28k
When I go on holiday I like to pop my top!

I anyone is unsure about the new chassis, download the 2023 brochure at the foot of the webpage and you can enlarge several pictures of the hitch. It’s more obvious that it’s a Knott hitch and handbrake

Look at at 530, it’s gone from 5.80 to 5.99, bodies are identical it’s just the A frame.

Looks like several glitches on the configurator. I've noticed I cannot add an a Thule awning to a Troll 550 and cannot see how to avoid the chrome wheel arches.
On a positive note. I have done an exact match on a high spec Feeling 470 from 2022 to 2023. It has gone up from £26,900 to £28,200, a 4.8% increase and less than dealer estimates of 7 - 10%

I configured a new 540 yesterday but when I got to £31,000 plus, I decided to call it a day.
Crazy money.

Apart from all the updated specs etc I would hope that Hymer have addressed all the criticisms of the quality of the fittings on new vans - Hinges, screws, furniture collapsing, plastics etc etc.
We are tempted but the configurator is baffling and I would be hesitant to order from it and I suspect the dealers will be as confused as the rest of us. I think we will be waiting until we see actual models in the flesh.

I often wonder about the claimed " Unique design principle based on aircraft engineering ". Steel frame with screwed on alu panels, and bits dropping off from time to time. Sounds a bit like MIG fighter principles to me!
