So the rumours were true. Last June/July one of the Dutch dealers I visited said they had seen a 6 series in development at the factory. As time went by I was starting to think he meant the 560 that was announced fairly soon after.

Speaking with Claire, Kool Classics this morning, she has confirmed that they can supply all Eriba models in the new colour range. The interior photo I've added, I suspect is from the new 642 but I've asked Claire the question as to if the gold trimmed upholstery is on offer with a gold colour Familia for example?

Whilst the 630 and 642 models are not yet showing, the different colourways etc are. The prices have also gone up, so no surprise there then.

Mmmm.
Looking at the specs and diagrams it seems that the extra 18ins in the 6XX vans hasn't been used to make the washroom any more user friendly, except possibly by making them deeper using some of the additional 4ins width. Though that might just mean a wider gangway.
They appear to be emulating a 565 by putting a larger fridge on the nearside between washroom and dinette. That presumably leaves a space in the kitchen which has been extended anyway by the extra length, though knowing Eriba it will be extra cupboards, nor used for an oven and grill.

One thing puzzles me on the 642. They've made the bed 6ft 6ins and 6ft 10ins long, when the 542 has 6ft 5ins already. There can't be many customers that need beds longer than 6ft 5ins. Surely that extra bed length space could have been used for something more useful.

I'd expect the odd dimensions are due to the standardization of modular components and Hymer attempting to make more money.

Has anybody else picked up on how wide these two new models are. At 2.19m externally and 2.1m internally they are wider than all the other Tourings.
