2006 familia 320 gt

i was happy to find our van had a 12v cigarette lighter type socket, thought i could easily use this as a phone charger,
my car charger doesn't fit, is this normal or has something broken in it. i thought the car charger type plugs were all the same.

It a Hella socket, originally designed for German motorcycles I think.

Anyway search Amazon or Ebay for accessories that fit in it such as "hella usb", "hella voltmeter"

You can buy plugs with adapters to fit both in most caravan accessories stores. They typically have a red bit on the end which will take off for hella sockets.
