Short-term storage?

Hi all,
We finally took our '23 530 out for our first proper two week outing to Öland and Karlskrona, Sweden. Disappointingly few Eribas along the way (especially when compared to Finland in June).
One of the things I found we needed to do was give the fresh water tank a good clean as there was a little biofilm buildup.
Now after two weeks, the caravan is back in storage, tanks emptied and so on. After dumping the fresh water, I recognised that the tank still contains a little water and is - of course - wet inside.
What I've done is leave the lid off the water tank and wedge the bench open a bit to allow the tank to dry, and I'm curious if this was the right way to manage this? How do others prevent buildup in the water tank during the caravanning season?

You will always end up with a little water in the bottom of the large on-board tank and I would not worry about it. I sometimes wipe it dry at the end of the season, but I always make sure the pump, pipes, taps etc are free from water as winter approaches.
You mention biofilm build up in the tank. We sterilise our system at the start of each year and at the end of the year descale the toilet waste container. Most owners do not realise this needs to be done, but if you are away for 5 or 6 weeks over the year you may be surprised at the build up in the tank.
