Leaving the fridge on

During our "Summer Season" is it advisable to leave the fridge on when we arrive home, we plug the van into the garage? As we go away every 2 to 3 weeks for 3-4 days we have now starting leaving it on , all (clean) thoughts welcome

I'd turn it off, give it a good clean and leave the door open. If you leave it on it will just frost up. Turn it on again 24/48 hrs before going away. This would be long enough for it to get down to temperature for you trip.
I'd still leave the van plugged into the mains though, to keep your battery charged.
