Pop-top mesh triangles
Pop-top mesh triangles

I've searched, honest I have, but I can only find one place that might be able to knock us up a new set of the Velcro-edged mesh triangles for our 2008 Troll.
Two of them have seen better days, to the extent that a hinsect an awful lot bigger than a mosquito could blunder in flying sideways.
I'm sure I remember several peeps on here replacing theirs over the years, but other than an outfit called Matt's Soft Tops (who I will talk to) I can't seem to find a reference for anybody else who does this kind of thing.
We can't make new ones ourselves because our daughter borrowed Mrs Pete's sewing machine for a couple of weeks about eight years ago.
Is there a kind soul out there who could point us in an appropriate direction, please?
Thanks
Pete

You can buy stick on Velcro "hook" or "loop" tape. could you just buy some mesh and stick it on ?
Steve
And in my experience at least, self-adhesive things tend not to be self adhesive for terribly long when flexed and exposed to the elements.
I think a sewn on edge would be much more durable.

As you said maybe not many options. We used Matt, quick not expensive but the mesh seems a bit bigger holewise than I remember the old stuff being. Yet to be tested in a midge infested area or even anywhere warm enough to open up the triangles. Just had 10 weeks in Ireland, precious little sun but no midges. 😲

I'll sew you some if you send me a pattern!!!
Aww heck. I do apologise, Islay. I didn't see this.
You are very kind.
Replacing the triangles is one of several little jobs which are quite important when you notice them but get overtaken by the next little job which is marginally more important at the time, if you know what I mean.
So while it's in the long grass at the moment, I'll remember what you said.
Thank you very much!
