Feeling 470 with Al-Ko Chassis

So, having swithched from a Touring 530 to Feeling 470, I am interested in the stiffness of the chassis.
Sideways on, it looks like a very solid beam structure, tapering to the ends, but still substantial in both front and back.
This raises the question: as the chassis is so different to the T530, do the rules about not supporting the van on the legs still apply? Can't I wind down the legs until a palpabloe lift is created, say 1", on all four corners. This would take the pressure off the tyres during any extended lay-up period. This ? applies only to storage, not to fully loaded with people on board.

I have a Feeling 425 on the same series of ALKO M chassis. I also think the chassis and in fact the van overall is far stiffer. It definitely sits better on the road and is even nicer to tow. I would not however ever be tempted to use the steadies to raise the van. As the name implies they are still only steadies.

Same chassis as for bob’s. Steadies, not jacks. 👍

Having inherited a van where I suspect the previous owner used the rear steadies as jacks at some point I would counsel do not do it. The front steadies wind in and out very freely but both rear steadies are stiff to turn, even with copious amounts of grease applied. I asked my dealer to check them over at the first service and they advised that the threaded part was bent on both. They made a warranty claim but it was rejected. I live with it because it isn't really bad, but on some vans the steadies are not attached to the chassis but to the ply floor and can potentially rip a section of floor away if mistreated.
