I like the blinds. If it’s not aluminium but a sustainable material, what is that material? Not sure about the washroom basin from a practical point of view. How does a recess in the roof help?
At the moment more questions than answers. I do think it’s a positive step that manufacturers are considering alternatives though. Watch and see but I think I’ll continue being environmentally friendly by using my old van and saving a new van being built for me.

As said, more questions than answers. I think it looks promising as I like the lack of gutter trim and the cleaner lines. Inside is not really a lot of visual difference. The 20kg weight reduction has to be all down to no gas appliances, so nothing really beneficial as regards weight and the use of alternative materials.
Felt blinds may look nice, but they would offer an all or nothing solution to light coming in. I also see no insect blinds.
If Hymer progressed the design concept without using it as an exercise to increase prices from an already eye watering level, then I think the design could have some mileage.
They should also be looking at using part of the potential payload for a battery pack to support the tow vehicle. I read of another manufacturer who was doing this. It also powered the caravans wheels directly, and so got rid of the need for a motor mover.

looks good and i like the the idea, need to know what materials are used on the skin, hate to put it away in the barn for winter, only to find the mice have eaten it come the start of the season.
how do you get it repaired in after an accident.
the packaging industry tried using wheat base chips instead of polystyrene and that caused rat infestations.
but overall looks good.

Mmm .........interesting as concepts usually are
Like others I am sceptical of the practicalities. apart from providing a food source for rodents, not sure how it would stand up to being on a drive all year in the Ribble Valley or perhaps worse the Lake District.

It's a shame it was presented by someone who really didn't know anything about it.
I don't like the blinds as I use them to shade sides of the van from the sun coming in on a hot day and I think they're either up or down.
Without knowing what the material it's made from, I'd have nightmares about it composting in the first rail fall LOL I agree that we'll just keep our lovely old Betty.
